Postcards for MNCN “Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales”, personal project.

Despite being one of my favourite museums in Madrid, this one is quite unknown. Partly because its usually associated with school trips, partly because is hidden behind huge trees. Anyway, there’s more to it than meets the eye.

The illustrations are a collage from scientific and botanical drawings from the XIX century, when the building it lives in (Palacio de las Artes y la Industria) was built. They are printed in hand tea dyed recycled paper, making each one unique.

Three different sections of the museum are highlighted: bugs (BZZZ), reptiles (SHHH), wild felines (GRRR)
